What Does Texas Lemon Law Allow?

by Muna wa Wanjiru

The Texas lemon law has been helping the consumers get their rights when they buy defective cars and other products. The law was enacted in 1983 by the state legislature. Although the validity of this law had been questioned in 1985, it was proved to be valid and in Texas, the law is administered by the Department of transportation and motor vehicle board. Under the law, there are informal mediation arrangements and so many cases have been resolved. When the case is resolved, a complainant is given a replacement, refund or even repair. If you live in Texas, you need to know which vehicles your Texas lemon law covers and they include the following. New cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, towable and recreational vehicles.

Texas lemon law does not cover used cars, repossessed vehicles, non travel trailers, farm equipment or boats. But, if you are asking what the qualifications are for your car to be considered a lemon in Texas law, your vehicles must have the following conditions it must have a very serious defect or an unusual abnormal feature, it must be a written warranty, the defect must be within the warranty period, the car owner must have given the manufacturer a reasonable chance to repair the vehicle, the defects must cause serious compromise in value and safety of the vehicle. If this sounds like your experience, you need to know that you have a lemon and you can use the law to get the compensation you deserve.

The Texas lemon law allows you six months for you to file a case from when you realize that you have a lemon. There are so many formalities not only in the Texas lemon law but, in all states because car disputes are more complicated and expensive and therefore, they need to be handled carefully and fairly. When the car dealer becomes reluctant to help you, you should have kept all the vital records and you will take them to the Texas department of motor vehicles where you launch your formal complaint. You will fill a complaint form and if you want to see how it looks like, you can view it on the internet.

The department will then communicate to the manufacturer and everything will be done to resolve the case. So many cases find a solution during this stage because all parties want to do the right thing. However, other cases are not settled here and, the next thing you must do if your case was not resolved, is to prepare yourself for a hearing where you give the evidence to an administrative law judge showing that your vehicle is a lemon. You will find so much information on the internet about how to prepare yourself for a hearing and what options you have if you are still not satisfied with the outcome of the hearing. If you win during the hearing, you can look forward to a refund, replacement, repair and even reimbursement of all the expenses.

Get the Blue Book Value - Boat's CAN Sell at the Best Price

by Mike Wilson

Most boaters enjoy spending time buying a new boat rather than selling their old one, let's face it, it's more fun, right?. But if you spend a bit of time on your preparation, pricing and paperwork you can ensure you get the Blue Book Value. Boats can be offered at some fantastic prices these days as the owners just simply slap a price on the windshield and damn the consequences.

By selling smartly you can easily increase the amount you can put down on your new purchase.

Like most things in life, you need to plan the process (yes I know boring huh?). But do this and you'll not only get the very best price, but you'll minimize the effort and time involved as well.

Make sure you cover these four important areas and you will be laughing all the way to the boat shop:

* setting a price
* deciding on how to sell it
* boat preparation
* doing the deal and paperwork

Price Setting

The main mistake made by boat sellers is pricing the boat either too low or too high. Too low and people will think there is something seriously wrong with it or an unscrupulous dealer will snap your hand off and make a hefty profit. Price it too high and you can't get rid of it.

What you need to do:

a) Check your local newspaper classifieds, to see what identical boats are going for in your area (don't forget that those are asking prices). If you cut these out you can show these to potential buyers what similar boats are selling for.

b) Talk to local dealers and see what similar models they have available, be careful if they make you an offer as it will usually sell for more privately.

c) Of course look at internet sites, you can do a lot of price research at the click of a mouse. Make sure you compare like for like as there are a lot of variations on spec's.

d) Check out the marine blue book value (NADA and ABOS) which you'll find at your bank, insurance agent, or boat dealership. Make sure you are honest about the exact details to get a realistic price.

How and when to sell it

You have three basic choices: sell it yourself, trade it in, or sell it through a broker:

You have choices of which Blue Book value boats make by the method of selling, it is usually influenced by the size and value of your boat. If your boat is small it is unlikely a broker would want to get involved as there is no profit for them, if it is large it will probably involve complex paperwork and negotiations so you may want to pass it to a broker.

Selling the boat yourself should make you the most money, but you have to do all the work. Decide your budget and plan your advertising campaign. Classified ads in a local newspaper are an obvious choice, but you could look at magazines, especially for bigger boats. Internet sites attract buyers across the country and worldwide. Don't forget to post ads on yacht club bulletin boards and add a "For Sale" sign on the boat if your marina allows it. Make sure you tell as many people as possible, try to get a bidding war going!

Trading in your boat is easy when you're buying a new boat, but most dealers won't take trades on used boats. Unless you are a master haggler you are unlikely to get anywhere near the blue book value.

Incidentally, the best time to sell your boat is the beginning of the boating season when buyers are most interested. If you try to sell off-season you will have difficulty getting the best price. The same is true for trade-ins, because the dealer can't turn the boat over as quickly off-season.

Brokers

A yacht broker is like a real estate agent, they advertise and showcase your boat to potential clients. They also handle the legal paperwork, and take a percentage of the selling price as a commission, usually between 5 to 10 percent. Use brokers who specialize in boats similar to yours, since they are likely to have more serious buyers.

Usually a buyer of your boat will pay for a marine survey, (an inspection to determine the condition of the boat) this can be used to negotiate the price downwards to compensate for any problems that are discovered. Try to second guess the survey by getting problems fixed before advertising, it will be much cheaper.

Boat Preparation

The golden rule is 'a clean and tidy boat always earns a higher selling price'. You will have to invest some time and elbow grease but it will be worth it.

Scrub the entire boat and deck with mild detergent and a soft brush. To make the fiberglass shine have it buffed with rubbing compound and polished with wax, on small boats, you can do this yourself using an automotive buffing wheel. Make sure your varnish is in good condition or give it one coat, if the teak is gray, bleach it or oil it, too. Clean the bilge to make sure there are no smells to make the boat seem old.

Give the head and shower a good clean and add a double dose of chemicals to the holding tank. Repair any broken equipment, get the engine steam cleaned if necessary, touch up any spots of corrosion and change the oil. Make sure the engine starts immediately by charging the batteries, these are all things buyers check to see how well the boat has been maintained.

Give the galley a good clean and if you can remove the carpet, shampoo it and let it dry in the sun. Get the curtains and upholstery cleaned. Scrub the covers and Bimini top and clean or replace the side curtains if necessary. De-clutter anything that is non-standard, poorly installed or not for sale with the boat.

Sell the lifestyle! Put drinks glasses and plates on the table, see how they do it in the magazines - resist temptation to model yourself though! Put together a mini brochure to show buyers with photos of the boat in the water (not too many so they think the boat is older than you say), any old instruction manuals and brochures with a list of the specification and included items.

The Final Paperwork

Great you have done the deal, all you need to do now is the boring paperwork. If you ensure this is done correctly it will save any problems in the future. Type up a bill of sale including:

* price
* model and spec of boat
* registration numbers
* equipment included
* buyer and seller names and addresses
* driver's license numbers

This will also serve as a payment receipt.

Provide a receipt if you are taking a down-payment and you could make the deposit non-refundable so you reduce time-wasters. Ask for a cashier's or certified check for both the deposit and the balance. Agree the date for final payment and delivery/collection.

If a buyer wants a sea trial, make sure that you have an agreement that buyer will pay any costs for launching or refueling and you have non-refundable deposit in hand, also ensure you have any relevant insurance cover.

Complete the pink slip and send it to the relavent registration authority, the sooner the better as you may still be liable until you do. Don't cancel your insurance until the boat has left your hands.

Sailing Ship Models

by komal sinha

It's a fascinating world out there and those who love the deep blue seas and the vast oceans also preserve a very special corner of their hearts for the lovely Sailing Ships that rule the waters, more often than not comparing them with a beloved whom they would love to woo and have by their side. Sailing ships are a part of history and the romance of the wind filling the fluttering sails and steering the ship ahead is somehow now relegated to times gone by. However, some satisfy their yearning by owning small yachts and spending their spare time indulging in their hobby. Most, however, live their dreams in miniature by owning a model of a sailboat or sailing ship of their choice. It matters not that one cannot afford a sailboat or a yacht; what matters is that you can be the proud owner of look alike Sailing Ship Models and gaze at them to your hearts content and fantasize as far as your imagination will take you.

A lot of ship modelers now allow one to own a near real model of the Sailing Ship model of one's choice. If it's something one has always dreamt about, then the model ship is as close to reality because the only variant will be the size which will be in miniature. Size apart, the ship model is the twin of the original in every other aspect. Usually, ship modelers are in possession of the blue print of the original and care is taken to pay attention to the minutest detail so that the hobbyist does not feel cheated. These sailing ship models can also be custom made to size and design of your own choice. Also available are build-it-yourself kits that allow you to reconstruct a sailing ship model of your choice with all the care and fondness that you think it deserves. The build-it-yourself kits are accompanied by detailed instructions that are explicit and ever so easy to follow.

So, there you are. Go ahead and feel passionate about a sailing ship model of your choice. You can even flaunt it proudly and proclaim your love and fondness for your prized possession by giving it a pride of place either at your workplace or even your home.

There are hundreds of models to choose from and an equal number of websites vying with each other to offer a competitive prize along with added facilities to make your experience with them an unforgettable one. So all you have to do is to turn the pages of history and zero in on the Sailing Ship Model of your choice and then let the ship modeler take over.

Airhead Parts brings “Max” to Life

by Scott Dempster

Parts and Technical expertise makes Max a commercial star in record time.

Seems VW's is now aware of what air-cooled VW enthusiasts have known for years….That the vintage air-cooled VW Beetle is an icon.

In Volkswagen's newest series of TV commercials, Max, a black 1964 VW Beetle (AKA Bug), is given a German accent and hosts a little talk show complete with celebrity interviews, a band, and once in a while, a new VW model.

In a June 2008 Hot VWs article by Lynn Anderson; Scott Linnen, Vice President of VW's Ad company CP+B Stated, "Something we thought a lot about as we worked on this was how to expand the brand to lead toward volume success…. To once and for all balance our past with our future and create a new true VW brand in America,… a brand that has a great history and heritage".

From an enthusiast's point of view, that's like discovery the sky is blue and puppy's are cute.

So VW's ad company is going for what enthusiasts see as the obvious, but CP+B followed up in a smart way. From the Detroit News story by Maureen McDonald on April 18th, 2008, Brian Shultz, another member of the ad company team explained, "There were a large field of vendors to select from, but we wanted a team with passion for the brand to bring Max to life".

First to be contacted was soon to be Project Manager Bob Ellis of Airhead Parts. Bob writes tech articles and helps Airhead Parts customers with parts and restoration tips. Airhead Parts was the company that supplied the majority of the beetle restoration parts, including the "hard to find" Steering Wheels. Bob, a VW enthusiast to the bone gives us the inside scoop:

Bob begins, "My part in the Max project started in the middle of December 2007, when I received a call from Brian Schultz of CP&B. We had worked together on a previous project, and he knew that I was his man for an upcoming project to restore a number of Beetles for the new "08" ad campaign.

Brian put me in touch with Dave Sherman from AMCI Inc. Dave in turn hired me to locate and purchase the Beetles as well as all the parts that would be needed." Bob adds, " I was also in charge of authenticity, and the mechanical restoration portion of this HUGE project

Next, we had to find a shop to do the paint and body portion. Many shops were screened for quality work, but also had to be Vintage VW fluent, not to mention the tight timeline. A local VW enthusiast, and shop owner, John Bickell of State of Mind Customs stepped forward, and turned out to be the perfect man for the job. John, his apprentice Drew, and I, all took absences from our day jobs for 3 months and took on a restoration project that we'll never forget.

We all moved in for the duration, including my 3000 LB toolbox. The first 2 cars were done in 14 days, the third in 7 more days, and the other 2 were at a more relaxed pace. 80% of the parts were from Airhead Parts".

The restoration was videotaped using time-lapse photography and can be seen on YouTube. The commercials are also there and feature celebrities Heidi Klum, David Hasselhoff, Leonard Nimoy, NCAA Coach Bob Knight, Napster's Sean Fanning, and NASA Shuttle commander Rick Seafross, and Max of course.

Airhead Parts is a supplier of Restoration Parts for all Air-Cooled VWs (pre 1979) and VW Vanagons. Founded by Scott Dempster in 1989 as Karmann Ghia Parts and Restoration, the company expanded to all models of vintage VWs in 2004. They ship world wide through their mail order catalog and have been on the web since 1995.

Toyota Celicas - Are They Viable Sports Cars?

by Kevin Bailey

Toyota Celicas have been around for quite some time now. Not quite as old as the Ford Pinto, but you know what I mean. Celicas have always been known for being the affordable sports car made by Toyota.

But, whats so special about this car? When in comparison to other similar priced cars, their quickness is no where near the performance that other cars can produce.

Not only that, Honda's and Scion's have much more aftermarket parts availiable for tricking out your ride. So, once in a while you'll see a Black Toyota Celica in a street race, but if your a true racer, you're not afraid of the Celica.

Modified Honda's or Scion's, even Chevy's will blow away the Toyota. But that doesn't stop Toyota lovers from their Celicas. Of course, they have their parts for modding, and they look pretty sweet, but when it comes down to racing, they just don't cut it.

It's not very common to see a Toyota Celica For Sale nowadays, it seems like they have all disappeared off the market. Unforunately for the United States, we get the shaft as the imported Celica's can be quite beastly.

But, for Americans, it seems that all of the import cars get dumbed down when they come to America to comply with our sorry standards for safety, when in reality it is just stupid drivers that cause all the havoc.

Eighty-five year olds that can't see 15 feet in front of them should not be driving anymore, and this society allows for practically every elder to own a license, and then there are those that are too stubborn to quit, even when they know they shouldn't be driving.

The United States is full of ignorance, if you were to take that all away, along with a harsher drivers license requirements, all of the really cool import cars that can pick up speed like no other might actually be legal.

But, of course, it just doesn't work that way. But, lets get back to Toyota Celicas. If your really interested in a Celica, it's not like they are bad cars in anyways, but when compared to other sports and racing cars these days, they just can't compete.

Toyota makes great cars, you can almost always rely on them that you are going to get a quality car that will last you a long time, and they've proven that over the years.

If you like the car, by all means go for it. You can find a Toyota Celica For Sale quite easy, although they don't come in the numbers that say a Honda Civic might.

They have decent performance for the gas milage they get, and they have a unique style to them. You definitely won't find any other car that looks like the Celica, they are quite easy to point out, even in the older years.

Although, there are way too many Red Celicas in the world right now, it would be a lot nicer if they were black, because if you've seen a nice black one, then you've seen a nice Celica. The red ones are too flashy for their own good, they are nice cars, but not that nice.

All in all, I think Toyota Celicas are quality cars, driveable, and reliable, but if you plan on racing one of these babies, you should prepare yourself to lose quite a bit, or be willing to put a lot of time and effort into modifications to compete with the big boys.

Handcrafted Ship Models

by komal sinha

There's something indescribably romantic about the ocean and the ships that sail on it. One has heard so much about ancient war ships, pirate ships, yachts and the early ship models that somewhere one yearns for the opportunity to set foot on them and experience at least some of the adventure and romance they once offered.

The nearest one can get to fulfilling this wish is by owning the ship model of one's choice or by buying a build-it-yourself kit which offers the pleasure of reconstructing a ship model part by part, whilst following instructions. These handcrafted ship models can skillfully recreate your favorite model military ship, private yacht model, submarine wood model or sailing ship mahogany model to exact specifications. Needless to say, a mountain of effort and hundreds of hours go into completing the process of carving, painting, rigging and hand-making the fittings that transforms the handcrafted model into a work of art.

Ship modelers usually possess the original blueprints of the actual ships and that is why the ship models' parts including the weaponries, armament, guns and hulls are extremely accurate and precise. Very high quality materials are used to recreate the replicas using the latest innovations and techniques that are applied in the over-all manufacturing and operation process procedures. Moreover the models are delivered with an extremely durable base decorated with insignias.

A lot of companies now offer handcrafted ship models at reasonable rates and at times even offer special discounts on certain models. Moreover corporate clients are given the facility of availing of specific models within a defined budget and also in accordance with timelines. Price lists usually vary as per quality, type, length and make and model of ship. As of now the choice varies right from ancient vessels, classic model boats, and radio-control boats and traditional to modern yachts.

Only a boat lover knows how it feels to see one's prized ship model suffer damages due to ravages of time or accident. A lot of Ship Modelers even carry out restoration work on ship models and restore them to their original appearance and condition. Display cases are also of great import when one plans to own a ship miniature since these too are expected to match the model and are expected to hold it securely in place.

35 Fruitful Tips To Save Gas!

by Freddic

Given the unreliable and dynamic nature of fuel prices, automobile users simply can't depend on the transitory dips in the prices of gas. Perhaps, adopting simple fuel saving tips is the key to prevent the prices from burning a hole in your pocket.

The following tips should help you achieve fuel economy as well as help protect the environment.

1. To begin with, choose the right car for your needs, if just driving around the town is what your needs entail, procure a lighter vehicle (hybrid or gas driven) instead of a big gas-guzzler.

2. Considered as one of the most important factors affecting fuel economy, the need to ensure the right tire pressure for your automobile can't be overemphasized. Check the pressure of the tires at least once a week, remember that even over-inflated tires lead to higher gas consumption.

3.Timely maintenance of your car that covers ensuring the right levels of all essential engine fluids and keeping all the systems in shape can make all the difference.

4.If you keep your car cleaned up, it not only enhances its sheen but also prevents any dirt or snow to create unnecessary drag and frees the engine from working harder.

5.Until it's absolutely necessary don't carry extra baggage in the car's trunk, as it would only increase the weight and force the engine to consume more gas.

6.Drive well within the fuel economy range of your vehicle, if you aren't already used to driving slow enough then you'd need to make some adjustments here, but be assured that the benefits are real. The difference of gas consumption between speeds of 55 and 65mph can be as big as 2MPG.

7.Accelerating your car like a dragster burns up fuel real quickly, whenever you have to step on the gas do it gradually.

8.If possible rest your left foot on the floor than on the brake pedal, as even a slight press on the brakes could significantly increase the drag.

9.Operate the air conditioner wisely and only when you need it. If you can make do just by opening the windows partially for cool air it's good. But remember that on highways opening up windows can backfire by creating more drag, so you're better off with the windows up and the air conditioner on. Further, once the inside weather is cool enough turn down the power of the air conditioner, lest it puts undue pressure on your car's engine.

10.Pick and choose the gas stations with the best prices in your area, there are lots of websites that keep a track of existing prices in different localities/regions.

11.Making good use of the discount gas schemes or gas rebate schemes of credit and club cards makes a lot of sense even if you save just a couple of cents on each visit to the station. Remember the good old quote "a penny saved is a penny earned."

12.After referring to your owner's manual, choose the lowest grade of engine oil available. No need to buy the premium grade unnecessarily.

13.Always shut the gas cap tight enough, or else the fuel could leak or evaporate.

14.If you need to travel just a small distance, prefer to walk. Not only would this help save gas but would also get the necessary physical exercise, so often recommended to live healthy.

15.Try to complete all your shopping on a single trip instead of visiting the market multiple times. Further, choose a shopping center that stocks a myriad of supplies so that you don't have to move from one area to another to shop for different items on your list.

16.Always drive moderately, as driving like you were in a great hurry would only make you brake and accelerate erratically, thus burning up more gas.

17.Cruise control, speed control or Autocruise, no matter which name you call it by, do make use of it when you're on a long trip on a highway.

18.Often not given enough weight though, idling can lead to significant fuel consumption. Avoid your car from idling and you would save quite a lot.

19.Try driving in the highest gear, the lowest gears are meant to get the car moving from the stationary position and cause the engine to consume more power than the higher gears.

20.Imitate truckers while approaching traffic lights. Truckers act wisely by looking ahead to see if the lights are about to turn red and accordingly begin to slow down as stopping is imminent. Further, if the lights are already red and you slowly cruise towards them they might turn green while you're still rolling. Thus you won't have to stop at all.

21.Plan your trip so that you can decide upon the shortest route along several stops to complete the trip.

22.Buy a bicycle to use when the trips are too short to be covered by a car and too long to be completed by walking. Determine the yardsticks for too long and too short based on your own preferences.

23.Use public transportation whenever possible, not only can it save gas, but would also free you of the effort and care it takes to drive yourself.

24.Make use of a fuel catalyst, they can either be poured into the fuel tank at other times they need to be installed. The catalysts increase fuel economy by efficiently burning up the gas.

25.Cleaning, properly maintaining and replacing the air filters when needed also helps to augment the car's efficiency.

26.When you rev up the engine while starting up, and warm up in excess of about 30 - 40 seconds, it leads to undesirable gas consumption. Hence, a warm up of 30 - 40 seconds is just all right for the purpose.

27.Refer to the owner's manual and follow the manufacturer's advice for the maintenance schedule.

28.Use the manufacturer recommended motor oil as much and as often as it has been advised.

29.Get your vehicle refueled in the mornings or late evenings when it's cold. In low temperatures the oil is denser and hence you may get more gas for the same amount of money.

30.Avoid placing luggage on the rooftop unnecessarily as it creates a lot of drag by contorting the car's aerodynamics. In fact the best thing to do is to remove the roof rack completely, as even an empty rack causes sufficient drag.

31.Avoid using tires that are too broad, they might be fancy but certainly are deterrents to good fuel economy, as they create more drag.

32.Carpooling allows for savings not just for you but also for others around you.

33.Use manual transmission, as an automatic transmission still can't match your assessment.

34.Choose a route that's the shortest, has minimum traffic lights and low traffic.

35.Get your car refueled only when the gas is about to run out, this is so as even the weight of the gas can be considered as load that the engine needs to pull, thus leading to a greater gas consumption.

Alternative Fuels for Cars

by Mary Freeman

Alternative fuels are derived from resources other than petroleum. The alternative fuels identified in federal mandate legislation are: ethanol, methanol, electricity, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, bio-diesel, hydrogen, or hybrid vehicles using a number of fuels.

The use of alternative fuels greatly reduces harmful exhaust emissions such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and particulate matter. The purpose of this article is to introduce you to some of the choices of fuels to power your car or truck, and to compare these alternative fuels with petroleum fuels and with each other.

The use of alternative fuels reduces our dependence on imported petroleum, contributes to a cleaner environment, and furthers the rural farm economy by creating markets for agricultural crops.

Ethanol/Methanol

Ethanol is produced domestically from corn and other crops and produces less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional fuels. Ethanol was one of the first vehicle fuels, and is now the most widely used alternative to gasoline. Ethanol is an alcohol fuel that's derived mainly from grain. Methanol is an alcohol fuel that's derived primarily from coal. If you wonder why big oil and Middle Eastern oil interest are conducting a smear campaign on ethanol I believe $71 billion dollars is the logical answer.

Biodiesel

Biodiesel is derived from vegetable oils and animal fats. Biodiesel was among the first automotive vehicle fuels and is now the fastest growing alternative transportation fuel. Biodiesel is used in conventional diesel engines, primarily in low-level blends of 2, 5, and 20 percent biodiesel with diesel fuel, known as B2, B5, and B20, respectively. Facilities making biodiesel are already here and ethanol facilities are not far behind.

Electric

Electric vehicles(EVs), especially EVs powered by fuel cells, are a compelling alternative to gasoline-powered cars. According to many experts, we may soon find ourselves using fuel cells to generate electrical power for our cars and all sorts of devices in our homes. All EVs operate with electricity that is stored in a battery that must be recharged. They can either be plugged into an electricity source at home or wherever there is a suitable outlet. While not considered an alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) by the government's definition, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are nonetheless an alternative to conventional gasoline-powered models.

Natural Gas
Natural gas is a fossil fuel that generates less air pollutants and greenhouse gases. Natural gas is used in two forms to fuel vehicles: compressed (CNG) or liquefied (LNG). Natural Gas is a by-product of oil drilling and coal mining, natural gas can also be harvested from natural gas fields.

Water

Yes water! Many people are now building small hydrogen generators to "power their car on water" instead of pure gas. This is done cheaply and is fast to install. It does not interfere with your car's engine and is completely safe.

See below on how to build a hydrogen generator to run your car on water.
Do you want build one of these generators yourself for under $150? Are you tired of high gas prices? Want to double your mileage overnight? If so, then check out my "hydrogen generator" website and never worry about the rising pump prices again! Click Here!

If you are interested in helping to save money as well as help the environment, you should research your options for what kind of RV solar panels are available.

RV solar panels are a component of an electrical system which converts light from the sun to electricity. This electricity is used to charge the RV batteries and are capable of running all the basics in your RV, including the lighting and appliances. On great advantage of using RV solar panels is that you can travel to a wider variety of locations. No longer will you have to worry about finding a source of power for your vehicles when you travel. Alpine Survival

Alpine Survival is one of the top choices for people looking to purchase RV solar panels. The RV solar panels that they sell are durable, lightweight, and easy to transport. One of the benefits of these and other top of the line solar panels is that they continue to generate electricity even if they are in partial shade.

Even the clumsy need not worry about the durability of Alpine Survival RV solar panels. You can pack them up and transport them without worrying about breaking them. They are so durable that it has been reported that dropping them and stepping on them still does not cause them to be ruined (although I would not recommend trying)! These RV solar panels have a unique design with lightweight construction and a nylon fabric covering which allows the entire unit to be folded into the size of a book. This makes them perfect to store and transport.

How To Find Classic Car Parts

by Terry Bolton

There is something about classic cars that men just love, and women too. Classic cars are about an era that has gone by and frankly, it is usually an era in which cars were better made. Things just are not made with the same quality and dedication these days. It seems those classic car parts were lasting too long, so the companies had to give them a life span to encourage people having to buy a new car.

Another problem with classic car building is trying to find the right parts that fit the vehicle. If a car made in the 1940s winds up in your stable, chances are you might be the second through tenth owner, and there is no telling what the other owners did to the vehicle. You won't know if anything is original until you start tearing the vehicle apart trying to salvage items or while trying to retrofit some new ones.

Take for instance newer radios. When the previous owner of the vehicle bought a new radio, he indeed cut into the wiring harness ruining the length of the cables and possibly had burned some. So, it would be wise at that point to simply replace the wiring harness from a reproduction manufacturer ensuring there will be no electrical problems in the future. But where do you begin to search for reproduction manufacturers?

Internet Advertising

Trying to find the right rear lens cover for your 1968 Camaro might be a chore unless you know where to ask. Post a message on one of the many free message boards trying to locate your missing part. Also, chances are someone has that part and has posted an ad to sell it. There are many auction sites to look through as well as public message boards.

Hot Rod Associations

Talk with members of hot rod car clubs to see if they know of a place to purchase the parts you need or of a person selling those parts. Most hot rod car clubs post notices in the paper and online on where they meet and at what times. Even though you might not consider your vehicle to be a hot rod, these are car enthusiasts and will love to help you hunt down the part you need. A lot of these member were once in the same predicament you were and have now mastered how to search for that missing part and some just seem to know everybody on the circuit.

Classic car parts aren't always available. That is the downside to messing with older cars at all. Sometimes car parts have to be custom made, and that is no inexpensive service so if you need a part it is by all means encouraged to do everything you can to find somebody with some extra classic car parts or a business before you result to such drastic and expensive measures. Boy, the things we do for our cars!

by Jim Bragg

Have you ever dreamed of owning a very expensive $400,000 Sports Car, Lamborghini's, Bentley, or Rolls-Royce?.Well, if you're like most of us average people who work 9-5 everyday struggling to make ends meet.
You would say, no way in this world will you ever be able to afford it Right?.

This "Top Secret Car Secret" i'm about to share with you is a true real life story by: World famous Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst.

Who just released her biggest "shocker!" ever...Her Secret to buying expensive cars for as little as $300 a month! Dr. Suzanne made it big
on both TV and now the Web, but what most people don't know is that she routinely buys exotic and luxury cars for as little as 50, 50 (or even more!)
Then she decided to see if this same "Secret" could work for what most people considered "normal cars."

And guess what: * * * The SAME Secret held TRUE! * * *
Dr. Suzanne was now armed with what is now considered by experts at below wholesale buying to be the "Greatest Car Buying Secret" ever discovered!.

So powerful and amazing it PROVED in her own life that she decided to share it with several close friends to see if they too could apply it successfully
and the SAME THING resulted!.

One good and close personal friend of Dr. Suzanne is another Internet Multi-Millionaire (name withheld for privacy reasons) and who wanted to buy a brand new Lamborghini Murcielago which usually costs $412,700* (*this year model).

After applying Dr. Suzanne's secret, he was able to get it for:
NO Money down and just $1,300/month! Yeah, yeah ... I know, I know ...
these people are already rich ... so why should they get to use the advantages of her secret, right?.

The fact is: Regardless of how much you make (or like most of us, how little!)it doesn't matter. As they say "a penny saved is a penny earned",
" so imagine saving $250,000 on a super exotic car (which means $250,000 earned!) Or, for the rest of us, what if you saved: $15,000
on your next car purchase, Or ... $400 a month on payments.

So, if after reading this email you STILL insist on being an "idiot" and paying FULL Price when you no longer ever have to, then fine, leave all the biggest savings to the few of us who are smart enough to grab up
Dr. Suzanne's "Top Secret Car Secret!."

Oh, by the way, with the few of us doing so, the car salesmen will have to screw someone else out of all the money that they are losing to us, so that means "YOU" will be their next victim... Unless of course you happen to have a COPY of Dr. Suzanne's "Top Secret Car Secret" like we do!.

Lowrider Custom Built Choppers

by Mark Andrews

Taking to the road upon a lowrider bike is not only a great deal of fun, but is also a great expression of your own individuality and style.

Perhaps you have seen some of the lowrider bikes for yourself that have in recent years become so popular? They instantly turn heads based on the fact that their very individual designs are a direct expression between the riders personality and his or her relationship not only with the bike itself, but also their attitude towards the open road and life in general. They instantly generate a big statement of personality and uniqueness as individual as every rider that rides them. Needless to say, they can also provide surprisingly enough quite a compfortable ride too. Gaining in popularity all the time, perhaps it is time for you to consider making that ultimate statement that only a lowrider bike can give you. For advice on the best style of chopper to suit you, generally speaking you can always find a chopper club not too far from you where members will be only too happy to impart their wisdom, tips and advice on the best kind of lowrider custom chopper, fit for your build and purpose.

So, where did these lowrider bikes come from? Well, they were first seen in the heady days of the 1960's in the state of California. They differed vastly from the mass produced motorcycle market that the then larger motorcycle manufacturers were producing, often by younger folks looking to combine the good looks taken from several bikes already on the road. From this it was almost as though a new art form in motorcycles came into being, as more and more experimentation took place which produced some very eye catching custom built choppers, again to show off to the full, each riders totally unique individuality.

After a while, one manufacturer started to notice this new craze and started to take notice, in 1963 introducing the Stingray model, which then began big time the love affair that was to develop between the public and this custom built chopper. You may remember yourself this company (Schwinn).

With today's interest in all things of a retro style, these lowrider designs are increasing in popularity all the time. For some people they fall in love with them for the memories of happier and simpler times, for others they just love the simple sophistication of these elegant custom built choppers. Some chopper enthusiasts are choosing to build their own choppers whilst others have specialized companies custom build them on their behalf. Another awesome place to buy is online via auction, where you can find an amazing choice with very detailed listings so that you can rest assured of exactly what it is that you are buying, including full specifications and service history etc. Of course, you will want to know that the lowrider bike that you ideally would like to dream of owning has been very well cared for with full maintenance records for your complete peace of mind.

As with all things though of such personal value, generally speaking you can get a good gist of a persons capabilities for looking after items in their possession that they are looking to sell, simply based upon the way that they describe the item, in this case, a lowrider bike.

With a season of fine weather ahead of us and the open road beckoning, perhaps now is a good time to start looking for that bargain lowrider bike?

Mark P Andrews is the owner of UltimateMotorbikes.com http://www.UltimateMotorbikes.com where you can view literally thousands of motorcycles right across North America from highly motivated and keen sellers, saving you a considerable amount of time searching online. http://www.UltimateMotorcycles.com

Honda Civic Forums and Honda Forums Offer Great Information

by Kathryn Lang

The Honda Civic is a small car that offers big space. A quick look around the internet will show you that there are thousands of people talking about the big "little car" on Honda forums, Honda Civic forums and other chat rooms at all hours of the day.

The Honda Civic has always been an economically savvy vehicle. When it first came on the market with the slogan "it will get you where you are going" the low price and well-rounded construction of the Civic made it a winner. Many of the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums have owners from the first introductions up to the latest models. It seems that when people get into a Honda Civic they just don't want to ever get out.

Today the Honda Civic continues to be innovative and economically conscious and their timing couldn't be any better – as many of the comments on Honda Civic forums and other automotive sites will attest to this fact.

As the consumers on the Honda forums and Honda Civic forums have become more aware of the ecology and as conservation is becoming more of a mainstream attitude, Honda Civic provides an answer to many of the rising needs. In recent years, the Honda Civic has raised the bar for going green with the Hybrid and the GX NGV.

The Honda Civic Hybrid combines traditional automobile technology with electric technology to get an estimated 45 mpg. It also offers a lower emissions rating than most vehicles on the road today. Many of the Honda Civic forums have owners that boast of the Hybrid's performance and its comfort.

The Honda Civic GX NGV takes green to the next level. It runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and offers nearly zero emissions. About the only complaint that I stumbled across on the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums are that the gas tank capacity is too small.

America has shown a continued love for the Honda Civic, in turn it has consistently been one of the top compact cars in the country. It is a top choice for buyers looking for the best new model and is praised on the many Honda forums and Honda Civic forums for its surprising comfort and power. With its high level of reliability it is also a great choice for used buyers as well.

The Honda Civic will likely continue to help lead the industry with innovations. As it continues to reach for the highest standards, the Honda Civic will also keep its lead in the hearts of its loyal fans.

Kathryn Lang is a freelance consumer writer that has written various articles promoting and evaluating products, including the Honda Civic. She has also been a regular contributor to many automotive sites including Honda Forum and Honda Civic Forum .

British Seagull outboard

by Jeremy900 Dawes900

What about British Seagull outboard motors

It is true that you need to have a good outboard motor on your boat, but you need to have things like life vest, because even though your British Seagull outboard motor will not fail you, you might come across, a huge shark, a massive octopus, or even a white squall. Who knows, you might even encounter a very large iceberg that you just did not see until it is too late. This means that you will need loads of band aids, a lot of paper, and well, wood and nails to fix the massive hole in your boat caused by the iceberg. Always remember however, that whenever you go out on the open ocean you will need to have other equipment.

If you are an avid boater you will know the importance of having quality outboard motors. You
can never go out to the open sea if you are unsure about the motor on the back of your boat. That is why you will have complete peace of mind if you have a British Seagull outboard on your boat. It is every persons dream to go out in a boat to the open ocean. Set down anchor and just stay there for days and days.

However, if you need good parts for your outboard motor, look no further than this site, where you get quality parts for good prices. We only stock the best, and the best is British Seagull outboard motors. They have been around for many years and have had that time to perfect what they do best, and that is the outboard motor for your little fishing vessel. With British Seagull at your side, or should we say on the rear of your boat, you will not go wrong. Though, you will get lost if you do not take a compass on your voyage. So be sure to check and double check your luggage before you leave, and do not forget to fill up the boat, or you will be stuck out there.

There is something about the open ocean that appeals to some many people. It might be that it is away from everyone; it might be that there are no city lights for miles, which means that you are able to see the entire sky in its entire splendor. But there is a problem, if you do not have the right equipment. Just like everyone wants to go out and live on the ocean, so many people do not want to be stuck out on the ocean either. This means that you need to have the best products on the boating market. That is to say, that you need a good motor on the back of your boat, and the best outboard motor you can find these days is the British seagull outboard motor. With an outboard motor from British seagull you will not go wrong, and you will not have to worry about going out on the open ocean and getting stuck there.

Jeremy Dawes is author of this article on british seagull. Find more information about british seagull outboard motor here.

HHO Cars - Easy And Affordable Way to Save Money On Gas Bill

by Andreas Lee

With the increase in pollution and global warming people are looking forward towards cars which are environment friendly. These cars are high on mileage and gives out pure emission. Scientists have come out with HHO cars which cut down the cost of gasoline and also reduce the consumption of fuel. High priced gasoline have made the consumers and customers very much concerned. So, the ready use of water as a substitute of gas has come into practice. Using water and gas simultaneously as fuel in your car will save a lot of money too.

Increased price of gasoline have raised concern among the customers in Australia, Canada and England mainly. These are the continents which are highly dependent on cars. The solution will readily come with HHO cars. This is turn will save almost around $ 1000 every year. These cars have an increased mileage of 30%-50% than the normal cars.

HHO gas is three times more active and powerful than gasoline. It is very easy to produce HHO gas. The gas can be obtained by electrolysis where water is kept in a sealed vessel under the hood of the car. The electricity power is obtained from the car battery. Through the electrolysis process water is converted into HHO gas (hydrogen). Hydrogen gas is nothing but a combination of two parts of hydrogen and one parts of oxygen. Only a quart sized container and some baking soda will make this possible. The method is simple and convenient for any person.

These advanced cars do not only increase gas mileage but reduces pollution. These cars also increase the power of the engine and add up to the life of the engine. The engine becomes durable too. As Hydrogen gas is obtained from simple molecules of water therefore, the emissions from these cars are clean and free of pollution. In this process the carbon deposits of the cars are also removed. The use of HHO cars increases the fuel economy by almost 40 % thereby saving a lot of dollars every month.

The HHO cars are durable and cheaper to maintain. As these cars require less care, maintaining a car becomes easier and convenient. The reduced emission of gases from the cars will thereby also provide us with a cleaner and greener environment. Save gas by using only hydrogen generators and simple tap water. The items required to create a HHO car are easily available and often found lying in your own garage. So, get ready to create a HHO car of your own by using this advanced technology.

If you are serious about saving money and sustaining your current lifestyle despite skyrocketing gas price, visit HHO Cars - Easy And Affordable Way to Save Money On Gas Bill and see how people have done it.

Smart Box Replaces the Repo Man

by Shad Connelly

"A repo man spends his life getting into tense situations."

In the 1984 cult-classic "Repo Man", Harry Dean Stanton's legendary automobile repossession pro, Bud, uttered that immortal line. Twenty-some years later, the repo man is finding himself in an even more tense situation - on the verge of extinction. Technology has not been kind to the professionals who roam the night searching for payment-delinquent cars. And, with inventions like the PayTeck Smart Box quickly becoming industry standard, one has to wonder how far the repo-man population will diminish.

The PayTeck Smart Box is an electronic keypad that is installed in a car (usually under the dashboard somewhere), which requires the owner to enter a code every month in order to operate the vehicle. If a code is not entered for whatever reason, the vehicle will be put into "shutdown mode" and the driver will be unable to start it. The box is part of the PayTeck system, wherein, after making a purchase and arranging a payment schedule with a car dealer, users can make payments in person, by mail or by phone (with a credit card). Once a person makes a payment, he or she is given a five-digit code - which is then entered into a vehicle's Smart Box to allow operation until the next payment is due. If a payment is not made by the due date, the car won't start until the customer enters the code.

Despite the fact that it keeps car owners under surveillance (sort of like a repossession Big Brother), the PayTeck Smart Box is actually quite beneficial to certain individuals. Specifically, the system allows dealers to finance vehicles for people who wouldn't necessarily be able to get a car otherwise. With the Smart Box in place, dealers are willing to take the extra risk because they have a safety net in place (the process of hunting down and repossessing a vehicle is much easier when the vehicle is incapable of moving). Also, in case a person simply forgets to make a payment one month, the Smart Box is equipped with a one-time-only emergency code. When the code is entered, the vehicle will start once (and only once) so a driver must make a payment at that time. And, for anyone who thinks they can just cut the car battery and kill the power to the Smart Box, think again. The device has its own backup battery that can provide power for up to five years.

Currently, the PayTeck Smart Box is being employed mostly by car dealers who accept "high-risk" buyers (i.e. – buyers with low or no credit). These types of dealerships, which, not surprisingly, have very high non-payment rates, were once the bread and butter of the automotive repo man. But, with the Smart Box finding success, the auto repossession racket may be taking a hit. In a USA Today article, one dealership that advertises "no turndowns" reported that, by incorporating the PayTeck Smart Box into their vehicles, repossessions dropped from 45 percent to less than 15 percent in three years. Such a substantial drop makes the technology mightily alluring to no-credit car dealers. Unfortunately, for the repo man, it may mean a lot of quiet nights.

Gas Prices Park RV Travel

by Self-Storage-Owner

RVing is a favorite pastime for many families. Cruising through the Midwest, climbing the Rocky Mountains and discovering unbeaten paths are what sparks a family to purchase an RV. It represents a future of family vacations and building memories.

Perusing the RV sales lot allows a future RV owner to dream big. Brand new RVs look perfect and have that mesmerizing new car smell to the fullest extent. Many times, a family will purchase a new RV of at least half or more of the value of their house. What seems like a romantic idea at the moment quickly becomes a realistic problem.

Families eager to take their new baby out for a road trip quickly curb their adventure until they have saved up enough money for gas. In addition to the poor gas mileage of RVs, the rising price of gas has many families barely commuting to work without testing how far the car will go on empty. The strain of higher gas prices only promises to increase with the summer travel season approaching, which lessens the possibility of traveling across the country.

So what becomes of the family dream of road trips and vacations? During the winter months, the RV sits dormant. However, families who have invested so much do not want to put their RV out in the cold. What do they do? One answer is renting an RV storage space.

Many RV storage spaces provide covered parking or garage parking. Another benefit of RV storage is that the facility should provide security by way of a fenced perimeter and restricted access to only allow tenants to enter.

RV storage also solves the puzzle of where a family can keep larger RVs when not in use. Many homeowners associations and cities do not allow long term parking for trailers, abandoned vehicles or RVs. Even if parking the RV on the street is allowed, it can be an eyesore to the neighbors and to the RV owner.

One way many families compromise the desire to take their RV on the road is by using RV storage camps. At an RV camp, campers can hookup their RV to water and electric lines and park their RV on the grounds.

It is also common for families to tow along a small SUV or car for short drives around the camp site or touring the area. Brining along a secondary vehicle is less hassle than unhooking water and electric lines from the RV. Driving an SUV or car will also save oodles of gasoline, which does help save money. Driving a small family SUV or car will also save time and allow the family to drive in and park in areas that might not have been accessible to large RVs.

RVs are also being sold by owners who no longer use them. Buying a used RV is one way to offset the high cost of new RV vehicles. However, one should do their homework on a used RV in order to make sure there is no history or accident. Having a check up done on the vehicle is also a wise decision and if the seller does not go along with having a check up, then you may be best to avoid the transaction all together.

Whatever you decide, there are many ways to buy an RV for a bargain and several options for parking your RV in between travels.
